Connect Team is a great team to be a part of to be the first welcome people receive when they come through the doors of New Life on a Sunday morning. There’s the opportunity to greet families, take attendance, check in new families for Kids Ministry, pray for people and be someone that is there to help others.

Our Christian lives are best lived out in small groups where we do life together – where we become family. It is in this safe, encouraging environment that relationships are built and real growth can take place in our lives. As a church, we long for every person and for every family to be connected in this type of supportive and caring relationship. Groups consist of individuals and families; some are organized based on age/stage of life and others are multi-generational. We invite you to join one of our Life Groups which meet in homes throughout the week.
Group Leaders Needed: We want to offer groups for all who want to participate! More Life Group Leaders are needed! There is training available, and being a leader is easy and fun! Reach out to Pastor Scott, or complete the form below to let us know if you’re interested in being a Life Group Leader!
Schedule: Groups meet in various locations throughout the week.
Leader: Pastor Scott Kent – skent@nlcwoodbury.org

The Encouragers was established nearly 25 years ago. The primary goals of the Encouragers is to encourage participants to experience and grow closer to the Lord through fellowship, study, worship, guest speakers and prayer. The lessons are based upon scripture and augmented with video, short presentations and/or class discussions. Fellowship, with Encouragers seated around tables, precedes prayer time each Sunday and often extends throughout the week in various venues. Prayer occurs prior to the lesson and extends throughout the week with prayer needs communicated to all Encouragers by email and at other NLC ministry functions.
Schedule: Sunday mornings 8:45-10:00am
Leaders: Dick Joerger, Dave Seehusen, Paul Johnson – office@nlcwoodbury.org

God is doing amazing things through our Men’s Ministry at New Life! It is incredibly important for men to connect with one another, build relationships and accountability, grow in discipleship, and be better husbands and fathers. Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

At New Life, we have a wide range of opportunities for men to connect and grow throughout the year. Some of our regular offerings are:
  • Weekly golf outings (Spring through Fall)
  • Weekly morning Bible studies
  • Bi-Monthly bonfire nights (Forging Relationships By Fire)
  • Quarterly Large Group Gatherings
  • Annual Fall Men’s Retreat to Camp Lebanon

Check our Events page for updates and registration!

We aim to meet these needs through a team of people that share our vision and are called to use their gifts and abilities to minister to those impacted by cancer.
