Here at New Life Kids Ministries, we desire to fulfill the purpose of New Life – helping people find new life in Christ here, near and far – in the lives of the kids and families of the Woodbury area and beyond.
Sunday mornings are a busy and intentional time of ministry for our kids. At 10:30, during the worship service, we offer Nursery care for ages 0-3. Additionally, Sunday school, a learning experience planned especially for kids age 4-Grade 5, meets during this time; kids are dismissed from the worship service.
We also offer an exciting AWANA mid-week program. AWANA is designed for kids who have never heard about Jesus to learn about Him for the first time, for kids who know lots about Jesus to grow closer to Him, and for all kids in between!
We invite you to explore the links below, and learn more about Children’s Ministry here at New Life. If you have questions or would just like to meet our Kids Ministries leaders, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Welcome! Here are answers to some questions that many new visitors have about Kids Ministries at New Life.
How will I know that my child is safe here?
The safety and security of your child is of utmost importance to us. All of our caring volunteers undergo a background screening to determine their eligibility to care for your child and receive training on how to care for your child in a loving, safe way.
Additionally, we utilize an electronic check-in system for all of our ministries, including Sunday mornings and AWANA, to help us manage the check-in and pickup of children in the safest way possible. Please stop by our central check-in stations when you first arrive at New Life, and our helpful team will assist you!
Where do I bring my child on Sunday morning?
When entering the main doors of New Life, our central check in area is in our Great Room (open area inside the main entrance) and our team will help you find just the right room for your child.
What will my child be doing?
We want our littlest ones (age 0-3) in Early Childhood to know the love of God through loving care from our trained volunteers.
Our age 4-Grade 5 Sunday School is held during the 10:30am worship service. Kids are dismissed from the service typically just before the offering where they have an interactive, fun learning experience designed just for them.
Sunday School (age 3-Grade 5)
Kids are dismissed from our 10:30am worship service (typically just before the offering time) where they have a fun, interactive learning experience designed just for them! Kids are accompanied by adult leaders to our Sunday School classrooms where they can be picked up following the service.
The Nursery is a special place, where infants, early walkers and toddlers begin to learn the love of Christ, and connect “church” with “love”, through the care of our volunteers. Our Nursery rooms feature caring and trained volunteers who engage our little ones with age-appropriate equipment and activities.
Sunday 10:30am (service time): Nursery care for kids 0-2 is available.
Midweek: Care for Nursery and Preschool ages is available during our Tuesday morning Women’s Bible Studies session. On Wednesday nights, AWANA is available for kids beginning at age 2.
Wednesday Nights (Age 2 – Grade 5)
The AWANA ministry of New Life meets during the school year on Wednesday nights, 6:30-8pm.
The AWANA mission is to reach children everywhere with the gospel of Jesus Christ and engage them in lifelong discipleship, helping them to know, love and serve God.
For questions about Awana Club (age 2-Grade 5) at New Life, email Missy Woolf (email@example.com).
Sunday Nights – Trek & Journey (Grades 6-12)
Awana Youth Ministries provides an integrated spiritual growth strategy for youth ages 2-18. Trek and Journey are the natural progression of Awana programs that follow T&J.
Trek® has Biblically rich content with practical application for middle school students’ lives. Each lesson includes an activity, lesson, memory verse and seven days of devotions that help students understand the Bible.
Journey® establishes high school students as lifelong disciples through a deep study of God’s Word, mobilizing them to live with godly perspective and evident faith.
Trek & Journey meet every other Sunday night from 6:00 to 8:30pm at New Life during the school year. It involves games/large group Bible teaching from the Trek & Journey material/small group section sign-offs and ends with snack time. Email Bill & Paula Gramer (firstname.lastname@example.org) with questions about the schedule.Register for Awana
